Karen Patteri

AI advocate and tech writer specializing in technical documentation with UX and developer focus, and translation. I bridge language and technology through hands-on work with LLMs, APIs, and developer documentation tools, backed by published international research on AI-generated documentation content on ACL Anthology.

Here's my pitch

With over ten years in language services and five years in hands-on technical documentation and AI workflows for companies such as Nokia, M-Files, Sensedia, and Samsung. My expertise bridges developer and user experience documentations, APIs, and AI systems. I have documented SDKs and OpenAPI-based services, contributed code to production repositories, implemented Azure-based AI integrations for documentation teams, and published peer-reviewed research on evaluating AI-generated content. I also have hands-on experience with CMS and document management platforms, Markdown, DITA, AsciiDoc, and HTML, including reading CSS and understanding customizations in Next.js-based documentation environments. I am interested in roles where I can combine strong technical documentation practices with AI-enabled workflows to improve the quality, accuracy, and usability of technical content.
